Who I am

Same Page English is run by Daniel Dixon, trading as Same Page English, based in France. If you have any questions about your personal information, email me at daniel@samepageenglish.com.

What information I collect

• When you fill in a form on this website: your name, email address, the level and class times you're interested in, and anything you choose to tell me in your message.

• When you book a free intro call: your name, email address and any details you add to the booking.

• When you email me: your email address and what you write.

• If you become a student: the information I need to plan and teach your classes, and to invoice you.

• When you visit the website: the website platform, Squarespace, collects basic technical information, such as the pages visited and the type of device used.

Why I use it

• to reply to your enquiry and arrange your free intro call

• to place you in the right group or plan your private classes

• to teach your classes, send invoices and keep business records

• to send you news and updates, only if you ticked the box to sign up

Where your information is stored

I use trusted services to run my business:

• Squarespace, for the website and forms

• Google, for email, calendar bookings, online classes and storing form responses

• an email newsletter service, such as Beehiiv, if you sign up for updates

Some of these services may store information outside the European Union. When they do, they use the safeguards required by European data protection rules. I never sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

News and updates

Signing up for news and updates is always optional and separate from any enquiry. You can unsubscribe at any time, using the link in any email or by emailing me.

How long I keep it

• Enquiries that don't lead to classes: up to 12 months after we were last in touch, then deleted.

• Student records: for as long as you're a student, then only what French law requires me to keep for accounting.

• Newsletter sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to:

• see the information I hold about you

• correct it or delete it

• stop using it for a particular purpose, or withdraw your consent

Just email daniel@samepageenglish.com. If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I'll post the new version on this page with the date it changed.
